Apple unveils new MacBook: Apple revealed its thinnest-ever MacBook with retina display at “Spring Forward” event in San Francisco on Monday.
This is the lightest Mac Apple has ever made that at its thickest point is just 13.1mm thin, 24 percent thinner than 1-inch MacBook Air. It weighs just 2 pounds.
Keyboard, trackpad and battery have been redesigned to make the laptop this thin. The keyboard uses a new butterfly mechanism for keys. It uses a single assembly that four times more stable than a traditional scissor mechanism, while being 40 percent thinner. The new trackpad no longer has a top hinge to physically click down.
It is priced $1299 and ships April 10th.
